Brede Paulsen Hangeland is a former professional footballer with more than 250 matches in English top-flight football and 91 matches for Norway's National Football team. He currently works as player manager for Norway’s National Football team, which will compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Hangeland works closely with head coach Ståle Solbakken to develop players both individually and as a team, with a strong focus on performance culture in elite sport.
