Fintech is more than just creating great user experiences.

Fintech has largely become associated with cool apps, better customer experience, and lower costs. In recent years, however, we have talked less about what for many fintech companies was the very basis of their existence, i.e. giving power back to the citizens and at the same time lowering the financial risks in the system. Now we are once again in a time of financial unrest where the banks’ short-term deposits relative to long-term lending are causing problems. Banks such as Silicon Valley Bank and Credit Suisse remind us of the instability of the banking system is once again visible.
